LITTLE ROCK, AR – SEPTEMBER 14, 2017
Dickinson Insurance & Financial Services celebrates the beginning of the latest charity campaign in their ongoing community involvement program serving the families and businesses of greater Little Rock. New partner Women & Children First is a nonprofit organization which provides a safety net of services to area women and children suffering domestic violence. Donations to this invaluable community resource are being accepted at https://www.crowdrise.com/safety-strength-and-hope-for-all-victims-of-family-violence.
The statistics are staggering – 1 in 3 women will be victims of domestic abuse regardless of their age, race or income level. Women & Children First (WCF) has been taking care of these women and their children for 40 years. WCF provides a wide variety of services, including community outreach, crisis intervention and safe shelter, legal services and court advocacy, case management, and additional programs designed to help women move on with their lives in a safe, positive and self-sufficient manner.
“WCF has been able to accommodate shelter for 582 individuals, answer 12,542 crisis calls, and help transition over 541 case management hours to help families seek safe homes, among many other services,” said Jason Dickinson, owner of Dickinson Insurance & Financial Services, “and now it is our turn to help.”
Dickinson Insurance is on a mission to help provide safety, strength and hope for all victims of family violence. They have a fundraising goal of $500, which will provide four hours of crisis intervention, food for two families for a week, counseling services, and welcome kits. And pitching in has never been easier for everyone in the community, as the agency itself has pledged to donate $10 to Women & Children First for each and every referral they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary. Caring community members who wish to have a donation made in their name may recommend friends and family for these helpful, no-obligation quotations here.
The team at Dickinson Insurance is hard at work mobilizing support for WCF with a vibrant social media and email outreach campaign. They hope people will participate not only by contributing financially themselves but also by spreading the word to others. The cause for WCF is also featured in the agency’s monthly community magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in the greater Little Rock area, where the agency has four offices. Archived issues of Our Hometown magazine may be viewed by visiting http://www.dickinsoninsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Dickinson Insurance & Financial Services has promised to continue seeking out new ways to support the local community by unveiling a new charity collaboration every two to three months.
